Mold remediation is project work — not a spray-and-wipe. We run Article 32 projects to a written work plan, with independent clearance and the documentation a tenant attorney, building inspector or insurance adjuster expects.

How remediation runs

What's in scope.

Below is the standard scope for an Envirex mold remediation engagement. We size the project to the building — line-item, fixed-fee — and write the quote against this catalog.

Work-plan adoption.We start from the assessor's work plan (ours or another firm's) and price the scope line-by-line — no scope creep mid-project.

Containment & HEPA negative air.Critical barriers, decontamination zones, HEPA-filtered negative-air machines venting to the exterior — sized to the contained volume.

Source removal.Affected porous materials are removed and disposed of. Semi-porous and structural elements are HEPA-vacuumed, damp-wiped and HEPA-vacuumed again.

Moisture correction.Dry-down to material-equilibrium moisture content with desiccant or refrigerant dehumidification, monitored daily.

Independent clearance.Post-remediation verification by an independent licensed assessor. Failed clearance is re-cleaned at no charge to the client.

Regulatory framework.

Every Envirex engagement is run against the regulator who will ultimately read the report. Here are the rules that shape mold remediation work in New York.

Can you act as both assessor and remediator?
Not on the same project. NYS Article 32 requires separation. We're licensed for both — on any given engagement, we play one role and partner the other out.
How long does remediation take?
A typical single-bathroom or single-room remediation is 3–5 work days end-to-end. Larger water-damage and multi-unit projects are scoped to a project plan.
Will you coordinate with insurance?
Yes. We document the project for adjuster review and coordinate site visits as needed. We do not work directly for insurers — we work for the property owner / counsel.
